Ginger Juice

Ingredients

  • 5-6 inch piece Ginger Root, organic
  • 10 ounces Filtered Water

Equipment

  • High Powered Blender
  • Fine-Mesh Strainer
  • Jar with a lid (mason jars work great)

Method

  1. Break the ginger root into 1-2 inch pieces (no need to peel if organic)
  2. Add ginger root and water to a high powered blender
  3. Blend until smooth
  4. Pour into a mason jar through a fine-mesh strainer. You will need to press the juice through the strainer with the back of a spoon because it gets frothy and thick. Compost or store leftover pulp for another recipe.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  6. Add 1 tsp - 2 TBS to water or tea 1-2x/day. Great with freshly squeezed lemon juice!
